A Sponsored move is conviction into price behaviour signalling that price is on the move for a good reason. IE for example if price formed a base during a consolidated period then moved away quickly from the consolidation, a number of factors need to be considered. One factor could be that price is reversing the current trend while breaking market structure by means of taking out buy or sell stops or the second factor could be price is resuming the current trend though is correcting taking out short term highs or lows then resuming back into trend to meet the higher time frame objectives.
